Suwayda tensions: Syria announces roadmap to resolving the crisis

Syria says it has reached an understanding with the US and Jordan on a roadmap to resolve the crisis in Suwayda province. The announcement comes following a meeting between senior officials from the three countries. The leaders met to de-escalate tension in the province. Violence broke out in Suwayda in July between Druze militias and Bedouin tribes.The fighting also drew in government forces. Israel also got involved,carrying out strikes-to protect the Druze community. Hundreds of people were killed in the unrest.
