Oscar-winning actor, director and activist Robert Redford passes away at 89

Actor and director Robert Redford has died at the age of 89.
His career spanned six decades with more than 60 films and an Academy Award for best director.
He was a pioneer of independent cinema, fostering the careers of many filmmakers through the Sundance institute he co-founded.
