Israel shuts crossing that connects occupied West Bank to Jordan

Israel has closed the only entry point between the occupied West Bank, and Jordan.
Allenby Bridge is now shut to goods and people until further notice.
It's a vital route for humanitarian aid shipments into Gaza.

It was temporarily closed following an attack there last week, a Jordanian truck driver shot dead an Israeli soldier and a reserve officer.
Although it later partially reopened, security officials have received instructions from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to shut the crossing to all traffic.

Al Jazeera’s Hamdah Salhut has more from Jordan's capital. She's in Amman because Israel's government has banned Al Jazeera from reporting inside Israel and the occupied West Bank.
