Delegates walk out as Israeli PM defends his war in Gaza

Israel's prime minister has told world leaders at the United Nations that the recognition of a Palestinian state by countries including the UK is "disgraceful" and "sheer madness".

As dozens of delegates walked out of the UN assembly in protest, Benjamin Netanyahu said his war in Gaza - and against Israel's neighbours - would continue.

Shortly after he finished talking, Donald Trump said a deal to secure peace in Gaza was "close".
