At least four killed, dozens injured in Russian attacks on Ukraine's Kyiv
Ukraine says Russia has launched around 500 drones and more than 40 missiles into its territory - in one of the largest aerial attacks since the war began.
The strikes continued well after dawn.
At least four people have been killed in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv, with dozens more injured.
Some residential areas saw multiple blocks of houses reduced to rubble.
One of the biggest attacks was on the southeastern city of Zaporizhzhia.
At least 27 people were injured there.
Russia sent scores of drones and missiles, that struck a multi-storey building, a school and a petrol station.
Al Jazeera’s Malcolm Webb reports from the Ukrainian capital Kyiv.
