Penguins under pressure: Why wet weather, disease and Keir Starmer are bad news for penguins

The Falkland Islands are home to over one million penguins and are the most important habitat in the world for many of the species.

As tourism fast becomes the biggest part of the islands’ economy, ensuring protection of the animals is crucial.

However, conservation funding, which comes directly from the UK government is frozen, concerning environmentalists.

Tom Clarke reports from a remote corner of the island where thousands of the Falklands’ biggest penguin colony gather.
