Thousands of Palestinians have begun returning to Gaza's north, as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu thanked US President Donald Trump for securing a ceasefire.

It comes as the IDF says its forces have pulled back to the lines agreed under Trump's plan, but will continue to "remove any immediate threat.”

There’s still a long way to go before a full peace is reached – and a mammoth rebuilding job amid the destruction in Gaza.
