UN pushes Cyprus peace talks after four-year hiatus, but divisions over future deepen

After 50 years of division, the UN is pushing the Cypriot communities on the Mediterranean island to revive dialogue, which has stalled in recent years.
This meeting marks the first high-level engagement on the Cyprus issue in more than four years.
But the two sides are also growing further apart on their vision for the future.
