IFRC chief Chapagain: 'Optimism' in Syria will fade if help comes too slowly | DW News

The head of the world's biggest humanitarian network has warned that rebuilding Syria will be "extremely difficult" and "very, very slow" without further easing of international sanctions imposed over Assad-era violations. Jagan Chapagain, Secretary General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, spoke to DW on the sidelines of a donor conference in Brussels.
