North Korea hosts first international film festival since pandemic

After a six-year break, North Korea’s only international film festival is back, along with foreign guests, mostly from Russia.
The festival represents the latest sign of a cautious welcoming back of foreigners.
The government expelled nearly all foreigners, including most diplomats, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
