UN security council condemns El-Fasher 'atrocities' in Sudan as RSF advances • FRANCE 24 English

Sudanese fleeing the RSF paramilitary's take over of the city of El Fasher on Sunday continue to carry accounts of mass atrocities with them. Hundreds were killed in the fighters' wresting of the north darfuri capital from the army, with many of the abuses likely ethnically motivated.. Sudan's been locked in a power struggle between rival generals since 2023 more than 40.000 have been killed, more than 14 million displaced prior to El Fasher's fall, it had been besieged for at least 18 months..
