Democrat wins in Virginia and New Jersey 'sent a message' across the US

Democrats won races for governor in New Jersey and Virginia on November 4 — the first major elections since Donald Trump regained the presidency.

Abigail Spanberger said her victory in the Virginia gubernatorial race sent a "message to every corner of the Commonwealth." New Jersey's Mikie Sherrill said the nation will never be "ruled by kings."
