Donald Trump calls New York City Mayor-elect a 'communist'

In his first response to the New York Mayoral election US President, Donald Trump calls Zohran Mamdani a "communist" during a rally in Miami.

He blamed the US government shutdown for the success of Zohran Mamdani and other Democrats in yesterday's elections, and suggested he might even help New York's new mayor.

Speaking to journalists - including our U.S. Correspondent James Matthews - Mr Mamdani said his victory offered a lesson - for the President.
