Maccabi boss hits out at 'blatant falsehoods' peddled about their fans
Last month, Maccabi Tel Aviv fans were banned from attending Thursday's Europa League game against Aston Villa at Villa Park due to safety concerns, which drew immediate criticism from politicians, including Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
Speaking to Sky News, Chief Executive of Maccabi Tel Aviv Jack Angelides said that their match against Aston Villa tomorrow night has been taken over by people who want to "spew hatred".
“To malign thousands and thousands of good fans with the actions of a few is a dangerous game” he added.
