Wainwright says his 'Maigret' differs from past versions

A new series by PBS Masterpiece seeks to reimagine Jules Maigret, a classic French police detective, for a modern audience. Speaking to Reuters, lead actor Benjamin Wainwright said that showrunner Patrick Harbinson wrote a more “youthful Maigret” who is “not quite in control of his emotions” as previous iterations.
