U.S. Capitol's Christmas tree arrives from Nevada's Humboldt-Toiyabe Forest
The West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol now has its Christmas tree.
The 4,500-pound, 53-foot high red fir arrived Friday from the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest. It was cut down Oct. 24 and made stops in communities on its way to Washington.
