Prime minister meets 'coalition of the willing' to discuss ceasefire in Ukraine

The Prime Minister says it's essential his so-called "coalition of the willing" are ready to react quickly if a ceasefire deal is agreed, warning allies that Vladimir Putin will breach any peace deal "without anything behind it".

Sir Keir Starmer also made a rare visit to a nuclear-armed submarine as it returned from a lengthy patrol, in a showcasing of the UK's deterrent that could catch Russia's attention at a time of growing tensions.

Meanwhile, Ukraine's President addressed the European Union, saying we must “keep pushing” Russia towards peace.
