Birmingham: 'Bins have not been collected for weeks' as refuse workers strike over pay dispute
Rubbish has been accumulating across Birmingham after nearly 400 refuse workers from the Unite Union walked out in a prolonged dispute over pay.
Residents are expressing concern that the growing piles of waste are posing a serious public health risk.
The rotting food is attracting pests like rats, cockroaches, and foxes, while waste is blocking access routes. The situation is causing a significant stench to fill the city.
