Hong Kong resident watches home burn after leaving dog behind

Hong Kong resident Jason Kong watched as flames ripped through the high-rise complex where he lives, fearing for the fate of his 10-year-old poodle, Ber Ber, whom he was forced to leave behind when police barred him from returning to his apartment.

At least 36 people were killed and 279 were missing after Hong Kong's deadliest fire in three decades ripped through the residential towers, authorities said.
