Washington, DC officials confirm guardsmen hospitalised after shooting near White House
Washington, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser has confirmed that two National Guard members who were shot near the White House are currently being treated in hospital.
FBI Director Kash Patel says the bureau is actively involved in the investigation, calling for prayers for the wounded guardsmen and promising updates as more information becomes available.
Jeffery Carroll, deputy chief of the Metropolitan Police Department, told reporters that both
guardsmen are in critical condition. He added that the suspected shooter has also been hospitalised.
