'Extermination' site discovered in Mexico’s Jalisco state
A shocking discovery in Mexico’s Jalisco state has reignited anger over the country’s crisis of missing persons. Authorities have uncovered what is being described as a “mass extermination center,” where remains of victims were found, highlighting the scale of cartel violence. More than 115,000 people are officially registered as missing, most disappearing since 2006 when Mexico’s war on drug cartels intensified.
