Pope, Orthodox leader mark Christian milestone in historic Turkiye meeting

On his first foreign visit, Pope Leo is in Turkiye where he held a prayer service over the ruins of a 4th-century church. It marked the 1700th anniversary of a formative meeting of church officials that took place there. He was joined at the site by the Eastern Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew.

Al Jazeera’s Jonah Hull reports from Iznik.
