From el-Fasher to Chad: Refugee’s business shows resilience after fleeing Sudan’s war
The ongoing conflict in Sudan has forced thousands to flee their homes, seeking refuge in neighbouring countries like Chad.
Among them is Abdirahman Suleiman Mohammed Khater, who escaped el-Fasher with nothing but the clothes on his back.
Now residing in a refugee camp, Khater has managed to start a small business offering charging and internet services to fellow refugees.
While the modest income provides some support for his family, he struggles to make ends meet and faces the challenge of rebuilding his life in an uncertain environment.
Khater’s determination, despite the hardships, highlights the resilience of those displaced by the conflict and the complex realities facing Sudanese refugees.
