Inquiry launched into disgraced brain surgeon Sam Eljamel with up to 200 malpractice cases

A disgraced neurosurgeon accused of botching dozens of operations in Scotland may never face justice, according to a prominent lawyer.

Professor Peter Watson , who represented British families after the Lockerbie bombing, fears former NHS Tayside Doctor Sam Eljamel could outrun the law in his native Libya, where he's believed to be back working.

A public inquiry is now underway, with police looking at up to 200 horrifying cases of malpractice.
