Al Jazeera’s Assed Baig reports from Quneitra in southern Syria.
Gideon Levy, a Haaretz columnist, told Al Jazeera that Netanyahu’s demand for a Syrian buffer zone is “outrageous” and aimed at prolonging endless war across the region.
He said Israel continues military actions despite ceasefires and, backed by Trump, faces little restraint, with real peace only possible through full Syrian sovereignty.
