Eurovision contest controversy: Four countries withdraw as Israel allowed to compete
The world's biggest song contest, Eurovision, is being boycotted by at least four countries next year—because Israel's being allowed to take part. Spain, Ireland, Slovenia, and the Netherlands have withdrawn after members of the European Broadcasting Union decided Israel can still compete, despite growing anger against the genocide in Gaza. Eurovision consistently draws a huge audience. 166 million people viewed this year's event.
