Protesters decry detention of Istanbul Mayor Imamoglu as 'sabotage' • FRANCE 24 English

Istanbul Mayor Ekrem Imamoglu was on Saturday transferred to a courthouse for questioning by prosecutors on terrorism and corruption charges along with some 90 other people who were also detained with him. The mayor, who is one of the main opponents to Turkey's President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, rejected all charges agaist him which his supporters believe are the latest attempt to prevent him running in Turkey's presidential elections.
