Palestinian director Hamdan Ballal released after attack by Israeli settlers | DW News

Israeli authorities have released Palestinian director Hamdan Ballal of the Oscar-winning film “No Other Land." He was detained by Israeli soldiers on Monday in the Israeli-occupied West Bank. Jewish-American activists who witnessed the incident say Ballal was attacked by Jewish settlers near his home, and was then taken away by the Israeli military.
