Lebanon: Israel hits Beirut in first heavy strike since ceasefire • FRANCE 24 English

Israel's air force struck a building in the southern suburbs of Beirut on Friday, March 28, in the first major bombardment on Lebanese capital since a November ceasefire ended a war between Israel and Hezbollah. There were further strikes on southern Lebanon's border region against what Israel said were Hezbollah targets. Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam called Israel’s actions a "dangerous escalation".
