Why Germany is so slow in moving to electric vehicles | Transforming Business

Just three percent of the vehicles on the road in Germany are electric. In Norway, the figure is over a quarter. That's because, over the last 18 years, the Norwegian state has forgone the equivalent of around 55 billion euro in tax revenue to promote electric vehicles. Can Germany, with its current budget deficit, afford to offer such generous subsidies? Are higher taxes for cars with combustion engines politically feasible?
