US markets bounce back as China-US trade war shows no signs of slowing | BBC News
US stocks have rallied after days of turmoil, with European and Asian markets also stabilising.
White House Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent has called Beijing's response to US tariffs a "big mistake", after China said it will "fight to the end".
It comes after US President Trump threatened to hit Beijing with an extra 50% tariff if it doesn't withdraw its 34% retaliatory levy by the end of the day.
