LIVE: US Supreme Court hears straight woman's claim of reverse discrimination

The US Supreme Court hears oral arguments in an Ohio civil servant's bid to revive her lawsuit claiming she lost her job and was passed over for a promotion and demoted in favor of lesser-qualified gay employees in violation of a federal civil rights law. Marlean Ames' case could make it easier for workers from ‘majority backgrounds,’ such as white or heterosexual people, to prove workplace discrimination claims.
