US not interested in dismantling Iran's nuclear programme, US envoy says • FRANCE 24 English

Special envoy Steve Witkoff says the US is comfortable with Iran having a nuclear programme. Tehran has always said it wanted nuclear for peaceful civilian use, not weapons. Israel has long suspected Iran wants nuclear capability to attack its cities. The pivot comes amid reports that the US is open to Saudi Arabia developing nuclear energy.
