Christianity is booming in some African countries | DW News

Pope Francis' anti-colonial stance and fierce criticism of imperialism won him many fans in Africa, strengthening the Catholic Church on the continent. Now, with his passing, many are asking if it is time for the first African pope. Some African contenders' names have been circulating, but it remains unclear how much of a chance they actaully have.
