Syria deploys troops as Druze areas face attacks from multiple fronts

Violence erupted in Syria’s Sahnaya, a town southwest of Damascus, after an attack on a checkpoint, prompting Syrian troop reinforcements.
The town, largely Druze, saw clashes involving non-Druze fighters as well.
Israel struck Sahnaya and Damascus, claiming to defend Druze civilians, drawing criticism of interference.
Experts warn of misinformation being used to delegitimise the Syrian government.
Fighting also broke out in nearby Jaramana after a leaked video insulted the Prophet Muhammad.
Syrian forces intervened; several were killed.
The government blames provocateurs and has pledged accountability.
