Germany's new Chancellor Friedrich Merz meets Poland's PM Donald Tusk | DW News

The new German Chancellor Friedrich Merz has met with Poland's Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Warsaw on his first full day in office.

Tusk hailed what he called a 'new opening' in relations with Germany. He stressed that both governments will keep up their support for Ukraine. The two leaders also discussed illegal migration. The Polish leader said controls should focus on the European Union's external borders.
