Cyclone Garance slams French territory of Réunion | DW News

Cyclone Garance has slammed the French territory of Réunion with top wind speeds of 155 kilometers per hour.

It brought heavy rain, blew away roofs and windows of many buildings and cut power to well over 100-thousand homes on the Indian Ocean island. Authorities say the worst is now over and have downgraded the storm, but a mandatory order to stay indoors remains in place.
