'It's time to take responsibility for our security', Starmer says as he admits the US is 'right'

Sir Keir Starmer tells the Scottish Labour conference he knows Scotland stands with the people of Ukraine, adding: "Peace only comes with strength."

He says no negotiation about Ukraine's future can be taken without Ukraine at the table, following the US holding talks with Russia without any Ukrainian representatives in Saudi Arabia this week.

"As we enter a new phase in this new conflict, we must now deepen our solidarity even further," he says.
