Trump bringing Russia to the table 'is a step forward', minister says

Bridget Phillipson insists the government means it when they say they want to achieve peace through strength.

She says it is right European nations "step up and play our part", which is why Sir Keir Starmer has said any negotiated settlement needs an American backstop.

But, she adds Ukraine needs to be at the table.
